FirstBlue Grant Consultancy is part of The Hezelburcht Group. Together with Hezelburcht, we combine more than 30 years of experience and 175 grant specialists. We have offices in the EU capital Brussels and in the Netherlands and Germany.

GRANT ADVICE SINCE 1995

Our history

Our story starts in 1995, when Marc Geulen founded Hezelburcht in Nijmegen. At the time, Hezelburcht started as a one-man business, but soon expanded to five offices in the Netherlands. However, Hezelburcht’s growth did not stop at the Dutch border. In 2012, Hezelburcht opened a location in the political heart of Europe: Brussels. Meanwhile, Hezelburcht was already attracting customers from different parts of Europe and the rest of the world

To strengthen our international position, we have introduced our new name with the opening of our German location: FirstBlue Grant Consultancy. As FirstBlue, we maintain the existing brand identity and offer the high quality grant advice you have come to expect from us. With FirstBlue, we are expanding our services internationally. Since 2025, our office in Brussels has also become FirstBlue.
